Timi Dakolo – Let It Shine
This song has been playing in my head for the past couple of days… It’s the inspirational timeless cut by one of Nigeria’s highly talented vocalist Timi Dakolo. The song is titled “Let It Shine” a track off his debut album titled “Beautiful Noise” released in 2009.
‘Beautiful Noise’ is Timi Dakolo’s debut and only album since his unrivaled win at the inaugural edition of West African Idols in 2007. It is a collection of musical classicism wrapped in simple complexities that evokes an intoxication with it’s tasteful musicality.
The lead single would be “Let It Shine” – a track evocative of childhood, especially those not born with silver spoon from where Timi’s story derives verisimilitude. The Cobhams Asuquo produced track is inspirational and tends to tell us that we can make it through the storms of life.
