For You – Skales
Young Skales has been knocking out singles for years now. Sometimes it can be hard to tell, due to all of his drama on social media. Thank goodness that has slowed down and he is focused on making good, quality music. He’s good at it. He’s also back with another track for you to dance to! ‘For You’ is his latest offering. He is expressing to his girl that he will do anything for her. Nothing new here right? Well, it’s easy to sing and catchy as well. He sings, “Girl I fit die for you…Do anything for you…Cross any bridge for you…No be lie, I fit kpie for you…” It’s a mid-tempo track with a bouncy beat produced by Echo.
I can still remember the early days when Skales was just warming up. We saw him perform in Abuja a couple of times. He was a rapper then, “Heading For A Grammy” was buzzing. I thought we were going to have another emcee on our hands, but he decided to go the popular route. Nothing wrong with that. After all, he’s making his money. ‘For You’ is as mainstream as it gets. After the success of his previous singles, he probably could have done better, but it’s sufficient for now. We are still waiting for the #NEVERSAYNEVERGUY album! Check out ‘For You’ right here!
