Oby Onyioha is a singer and song writer best known for her very successful debut single “I Want To Feel Your Love“. The song was widely successful in the 1980’s…that song was particularly released in 1981. Oby hails from Abia State in Nigerian and has a B,A, BSC in History and Business Management respectively, she also has a Masters and Doctorate in Social Anthropology.
Her single “I Want To Feel Your Love” is regarded one of the greatest song in her era. She went ahead to release her first album which had the same title as her smash hit single. The album was a huge successful and she was the glamour girl of the Nigerian music scene in the 80s and 90s.
She did the disco break-dance music at the time when everyone had thought it was something associated mainly with the western artistes.
“I want To Feel Your Love” is one special oldie. She’s got this beautiful amazing voice and deserved the wave she got in her time. I wish she was still singing though.
