Monika – Junior Ft Pretty @prettyokafor (Audio) #ThrowBackThursday
In 1991, the song Monika was was released as a single by Junior and Pretty off their Fufu Flavour album which was released under Storm Productions currently known as Storm Records. In the album was also the hit single “Bolanle”. Junior and pretty formally known as Okechukwu Azike and Pretty Okafor respectively were the show stoppers in the mid 90s, performing all cover the continent and making serious waves.
Sadly, we lost junior to a motorbike accident in 2005 and Pretty has since moved on to events management.
There are some funny and interesting lines in this old hit single…. “Monika Monika Monika, Monika, If Monika no kill me I no go die again. This kind love no be wetin I bargain”. LOL. The other part really made me laugh was when Monika said she was from Uni petrol.
