Seth Ogahi – One Voice (Prod. by Charles Creations & Seth Ogahi)
For lovers of reggae music and our dear country Nigeria, this unity song, One Voice by a fast rising artist, Seth Ogahi is something worth listening to. It was produced by Charles creations and Seth Ogahi.
Especially in this time where Nigeria needs to stand strong together with oneness of voice, a song with the message of unity would calm frayed nerves and further serve as a constant reminder of the strength of oneness.
The message of unity in diversity is straight-forward. The young and the old can relate with how much could be achieved together if the nation stands together and speak with one voice.
The lyrics as with most reggae songs are plain and understandable even to the every day man. Although, a bit of creativity to spice up the lyrics especially for the youngsters would show that Seth Ogahi have taken this genre of music to the next level.
Praiz knows his stand with God, does not care what you think
The choice of soft reggae beats/sounds in One Voice is cool to the ears and relaxing even. Nothing too heavy and dis-jointed. The sync achieved with the instrumentals is commendable. A very good use of the trumpet brought the perfect blend needed for the focus message of unity. Basically, there is unity in the sounds and beats. I would give thumbs up to the producers.
Seth Ogahi have good vocals. He has a good tenor which married well with the backup singers. I think the adoption of the classic approach is on point. With his perfect tenor and the backups strong alto and soprano, the song came alive with the required voice energy.
Seth Ogahi started his music career in 2008 and by 2009, he composed and performed the theme song for the year’s national youth summit in front of over 10,000 people at the Eagle Square, Abuja Nigeria. He Won the 2010 Arise Nigeria Music and Talent competition (season 2). Mrs Orlando Owo, the wife of the legendary Orlando Owo said of Seth, “He reminds me of great musicians like John Lenon and Bob Marley”. Seth Ogahi have since his debut on the music scene, continued writing, composing and perfecting his act. He plays the rhythm guitar and percussion.
On the overall, I would rate One Voice 8/10. Listen and leave your comments.
