Try and Love – Ofege (Audio) #ThrowBackThursday
Ofege is an name of an old group in the oldies. I am talking about the 70s. They were the 1970s school boys from St Gregory’s College, Obalende, Ikoyi, Lagos. “Try and Love” is of their major hits back in the day, first as a single and also as an album.
It is said to be Nigeria’s most outstanding school boy band of all time. Influenced majorly by the guitar solos of Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Francis Rossi and the criss-cross rhythms of Osibisa.
Tell you this, the acoustic guitars gushing out beautiful sound is what will make you fall in love with this music. Even if the had nothing to say, I would have simply listened to the beats.
Good music is good music, period. Oya hit play and enjoy away.
